Biography
Alexandra Carolan, M.D. is a Pediatric Urologist at Children’s Health℠ and Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She treats a wide variety of urological conditions , including hypospadias, vesicoureteral reflux and ureteropelvic junction obstruction. She has extensive training in minimally invasive surgeries, including robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgeries.
Dr. Carolan earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed her residency in Urology at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Arizona and her fellowship in Pediatric Urology at UT Southwestern.
Dr. Carolan is the recipient of the Mayo Clinic Top Performing Provider Patient Experience Award. She has conducted research on topics including complex urologic surgical reconstruction, congenital anomalies of the kidneys and urinary tract, hypospadias and spina bifida. Dr. Carolan is also a member of the American Urological Association and Societies for Pediatric Urology.
