Pediatric Headache Clinic
Headaches are one of the top five childhood health problems with 40% of children suffering from them by age seven and 75% by age 15. The Children’s Health℠ Headache Clinic offers expert, multidisciplinary care for children coping with headaches and migraines. Providers who specialize in treating headaches ensure every patient receives comprehensive care and a unique treatment plan. Our providers will continue to follow your child’s case throughout their treatment in our clinic.
Focused on finding successful solutions for headaches from the moment you arrive
We don’t waste any time looking for ways to help your child. We want our patients to be able to live their daily lives without the debilitating pain of chronic headaches. The entire visit will last about 30 minutes to an hour and will include a careful evaluation and physical exam. Based on the diagnosis, the provider will determine a treatment plan moving forward that may include further workups, medication management, lifestyle modifications and any follow-up appointments needed.
Narrowing down the sources of headache pain
Part of treating chronic headaches is finding what’s causing them in the first place. Migraines are often a hereditary condition, but we can work with your family to find ways to reduce what triggers them. Common migraine triggers include:
Bright lights
Certain foods and drinks
Change in routine
Change in sleeping patterns
Environmental factors
Hormonal changes
Loud noise
Stress
