More Details
Our team provides a close-knit, family-centered environment to support children and their families as they recover. Our pediatric day neurology program is the only outpatient neurorehabilitation program in North Texas designed specifically for children from age 2 through 18.
Our program is for children who are stable enough to live at home (usually after a hospital stay) but need an organized program. We work closely with you and your child to develop and achieve individual goals through a customized plan.
Pediatric Neurorehabilitation: Our services and family support
Our team provides your family with support, education and resources to maximize your child’s health and help them have the fullest possible life. We offer:
Physical therapy to improve strength and mobility and relieve pain
Occupational therapy to improve skills for daily activities at home, school and work
Speech-language therapy to address cognitive-language (speaking), communication and swallowing difficulties
Neuropsychology to help children manage and adjust to cognitive (thinking) impairments that often come with neurological disorders or injuries
Family education and training to help you take care of your child at home and in social/community activities
How long is the day neurology program?
Most children come to our day neurology program five days per week, usually for two to four weeks – or as long as you need us. We work closely with you and your child to decide when the time is right for them to return to school. We help your child return gradually, often for half days at first before progressing to full days.
