About 1 in 5,000 children is born with defects in their bowel or pelvis. Children’s Health is one of the few pediatric hospitals in the US and the only pediatric hospital in North Texas, with a coordinated, multi-disciplinary program to care for these kids. At our Colorectal and Pelvic Center, we perform reconstructive surgery and help children manage bowel and bladder issues from infancy through adolescence. Plus, our partnership with UT Southwestern allows us to provide the only academically affiliated pediatric surgery program in North Texas, elevating the care we provide through research and clinical experience.
